ABOUT ME

My name is Mario Salgado

I was born and raised in Boyle Heights a suburb of Los Angeles, California. I’ve always been active and energetic. I ran cross country in high school and trained by running 10 miles a day.

Right after high school I joined the Marine Corps where I served for 6 years before being Honorably discharged.

I’ve had periods where I was less active than I should have been, but I always knew that the best way to stay healthy is to eat right, stay active, and keep a positive mental outlook.

The goal I aim to reach is to continue in this journey and really just to enjoy life to its fullest. Pursue that which makes you the happiest and gives you the most enjoyment and excitement. If I do it right, in the end I’ll be the guy lying in the casket with a surprised look on his face.

As Dylan Thomas so eloquently put it; “Do not go gently into that goodnight. Rage! Rage! Against the dying of the light.”
