“Don’t let anyone steal your dreams. Follow your heart, no matter what.” Jack Canfield

Hi There,

Let’s talk about something that sneaks into our minds way too often—doubt. That little voice that whispers, “Are you sure you’re good enough?” or “What if you fail?” It’s sneaky, persistent, and honestly, kind of rude. But here’s the truth: doubt is normal. Everyone feels it. Even the most successful people you admire have wrestled with it. The key isn’t to eliminate doubt—it’s to keep it from stopping your dream.

You’ve got something special inside you. A vision, a goal, a dream that lights you up. Maybe it’s starting a business, writing a book, switching careers, or traveling the world. Whatever it is, it matters. And it deserves to be pursued. But doubt? Doubt wants to keep you safe. It’s like an overprotective friend who means well but doesn’t realize they’re holding you back.

So how do you keep doubt from running the show?

1. Recognize It for What It Is

Doubt isn’t truth. It’s a feeling. It’s your brain trying to protect you from risk, embarrassment, or failure. But growth lives in those very places. When you feel doubt creeping in, pause and say, “Ah, there you are. I see you.” Just naming it takes away some of its power.

2. Remember Why You Started

Think back to the moment your dream first sparked. What made you excited? What did you imagine? Reconnect with that energy. Write it down. Talk about it. Visualize it. When doubt tries to cloud your vision, your “why” will help you see clearly again.

3. Take Tiny Steps Forward

Doubt loves to show up when you’re staring at the big picture. “How will I ever get there?” it asks. The answer? One step at a time. Break your dream into bite-sized actions. Want to write a novel? Start with one paragraph. Want to launch a business? Sketch out your idea. Progress quiets doubt.

4. Surround Yourself with Believers

You need people who cheer for you, who remind you of your brilliance when you forget. Find those friends, mentors, or communities that lift you up. And if you don’t have them yet, be your own biggest cheerleader. Speak kindly to yourself. You deserve that.

5. Celebrate Every Win

Every time you take action despite doubt, celebrate it. Seriously. Did you send that email? Post that video? Apply for that job? That’s courage. That’s momentum. Acknowledge it. The more you celebrate, the more confident you’ll feel.

6. Accept Imperfection

Perfection is a myth. Your dream doesn’t need to be flawless—it needs to be real. Messy progress is still progress. Mistakes are part of the journey. Remember that we tend to learn more from our mistakes than our successes. Don’t let the fear of not getting it “just right” keep you from starting.

7. Talk Back to Doubt

When doubt says, “You’re not ready,” respond with, “Maybe not perfectly, but I’m starting anyway.” When it says, “You’ll fail,” say, “Failure is how I learn.” You don’t have to silence doubt—you just have to outtalk it.

Friend, your dream is worth fighting for. It’s worth the effort, the vulnerability, the courage. Doubt may tag along, but it doesn’t get to drive. You do.

So go ahead—take that step. Write the first line. Make that call. Launch the idea. You’ve got this. And I’m cheering for you every step of the way.

With all the belief in the world, Your friend in courage.

Respectfully,

Mario
