Hi All,

Michelangelo’s quote, “The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark,” highlights the importance of aiming high.

Here are a few simple but important questions that I would like you to think about;

What is your biggest dream in life?

What do you aspire to be?

Who do you aspire to love?

If you could lay out the perfect life on paper, what would that look like?

As children, we’re told to dream big. You can be anything you want to be.

By the time you reach your high school years, that messaging starts to change.

If you show interest in pursuing a form of art, there’s a good chance teachers and parents will steer you elsewhere and tell you sure, you can be anything, but not that.

The tech industry is a great example of people steering their children to something that’s blowing up – get into computers, the sky’s the limit. And it was, for a time, until mass layoffs hit the industry and suddenly, all of those computer science graduates are stuck living at home because they can’t find jobs in their field.

The point is that you deserve the life you dream of for yourself, not the life others dream, or wish for you.

A dream isn’t enough.

You have to take action and start to turn those dreams into a reality.

Let’s explore that here – the transformative power behind daring to dream and acting on it to fulfill your desired path.

Dream a Dream

A dream is your soul’s quiet whisper and it’s urging you to live out your potential, it’s nudging you towards the rich life that you deserve.

Dreams can take on any form, from personal achievements to career aspirations to deeper desires revolving around community, contribution, and connection.

People talk about daring to dream – it shouldn’t be a dare, it should be inevitable.

Unfortunately, we often allow society to convince us that dreams are for children. You reach a certain point in your life and you have to let go of dreams and get real.

It isn’t true.

Start dreaming, and envision a future that fits in with your core values and passions. Tap into your imagination and let yourself imagine what’s possible.

A dream is nothing, though, if you’re not willing to put your money where your mouth is and take courage to act on those dreams.

Time to Act

You have the dream and now it’s time to act.

It requires a conscious decision to leave your comfort zone in the past and enter a phase of intentional action. It isn’t just about setting goals, it’s actively taking steps to fulfillment.

It’s a balance between acting and dreaming – the dream delivers the visions and the action is the vehicle to take you forward to achieve it. It doesn’t matter how small the steps are, every step forward is a big one.

Action demands courage and no matter how uncertain everything feels or how many obstacles you face, courage will persist regardless. Accept discomfort, embrace it.

Acknowledge your fears, and act anyway. Prepare to launch yourself into the unknown and embrace whatever life throws in your path on your journey to fulfillment.

The important thing to remember in any situation is that courage doesn’t mean you’re never fearful. It means that even when you’re fearful, you find it within you to act! Action is everything.

Daring to act? That’s a radical assertion of agency. It’s a declaration you make to the world that your dreams are worth taking a risk for, that your dreams are worth the energy.

Final Thoughts

There’s a natural link that ties daring to act and daring to dream.

Both foster a profound sense of purpose that goes far beyond personal fulfillment. As you pursue your dreams, be intentional in the steps you take towards fulfillment. As you do this, not only will it further your own motivation, but it will also inspire others to follow your lead. It’s a powerful ripple effect and your positive actions and choices can transform you, the people around you, and your community.

While personal fulfillment sounds like a lone endeavor, the reality is it’s a shared experience and when you start sharing your dreams, you’ll really flourish.

Ultimately, some of humankind’s greatest achievements came as a result of people who dared to dream big and dared even harder to act on those dreams;. From masterpieces in art to the innovations of inventions, there is a sense of audacity when it comes to dreaming.

The most audacious thing about dreaming is failing to act on it.

Respectfully,

Mario
